[SPECIAL EVENT] CSS Planning Retreat for Fall 2007

What comes into mind when you hear the word 'retreat'?

I think of secluded, environmental-friendly places (I attended one held at an outskirt ranch- just beautiful); silence and lots of it; abstinence of food; simplicity; Bible-studying; and me-time to ponder on. If you attended last semester's retreat, you would have an idea that almost all mentioned above is not really like our retreat *wink*.


Although we held the retreat at the GYM in SFX, it was by all means not secluded. There wasn't very much golden moments of silence. (except for Taize Prayers at the beginning) Food? Oh, there were boxes of pizzas lying around... meaning there wasn't a lack of food. ;) But of course there were discussions encircling the Bible :)


Personally I came to the retreat thinking it'd be a little dull...(How much fun can a college retreat be?) But found myself wishing extended time to the retreat. We learnt a little bit more about ourselves and our fellow friends, just like we do every CSS meeting :)

This coming Saturday will be our 2nd retreat :)

DATE: Saturday, 7th July 2007
VENUE: The GYM, St. Francis Xavier's Church, Petaling Jaya
*TIME: 10am to 5pm
(optional: followed by LifeMass @ 6.30pm and/or Lifeline Bible Quiz @ 8pm)
WHAT TO BRING? Notepad/Notebook, Pen, Bible, Yourself! :)
